Tommy Fleetwood is setting his sights on becoming the second Brit to clinch gold in golf at the Olympics this summer. Along with Matt Fitzpatrick, the 33-year-old is representing Team GB at the Paris Games this week.
He's aiming to emulate Justin Rose's triumphant performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics eight years ago. In that tournament, Rose edged out Sweden's Henrik Stinson by two shots to secure the UK's first-ever Olympic triumph in golf.
However, emerging victorious at Le Golf National will be easier said than done in a stacked field including Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and world No.1 Scottie Scheffler. It would be the peak of Fleetwood's career, who is already a success on and off the course.

Who is Tommy Fleetwood?
Fleetwood is an English golfer who competes on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour. A native of Southport, he has seven victories on the European circuit under his belt, along with one win each on the Sunshine Tour and the Challenge Tour.
Despite not yet securing a win in major tournaments, he's had several near misses. He came third in this year's Masters, trailing behind Scheffler and runner-up Ludvig Aberg, while his second-place finishes at the 2018 US Open and the 2019 Open Championship were also hard to take.
His best performance at a PGA Championship was in 2022, where he finished T5 with Chris Kirk and Fitzpatrick. Fleetwood made his Olympic debut for Team GB at the Tokyo Games in 2020 but didn't perform as well as hoped, finishing T16.

What is his net worth?
With a successful career and high-profile sponsorships under his belt, Fleetwood's net worth was reported to be an impressive £15.7million ($20m) as of March. Even though he hasn't won any of the big four yet, Fleetwood has earned substantial amounts from the PGA and European tours.
Endorsem*nts from brands such as BMW, Nike, Tag Heuer and TaylorMade have also boosted his finances, although the exact figures of these deals are not known. If Fleetwood triumphs at the Olympics this summer, he won't receive any financial reward as Team GB does not pay bonuses to its successful athletes.

Who is his wife?
Fleetwood's relationship with Clare began uniquely through professional ties when he moved to Hambric Sports Management in 2015, where she was employed. By the year's end, their worlds intertwined even further as Clare took on the role of managing his career - a decision that flourished into romance and led to their beach wedding in the Bahamas in December 2017.
She needed some convincing initially, having turned down Tommy's advances multiple times due to their 23-year age gap. Speaking candidly on the Performance People podcast,Clare admitted: "We've got a 23-year age difference. Of course, I turned him down. I was like, 'Don't be stupid'."
But persistence paid off, and after getting engaged in June 2017, they soon pledged their vows amidst sandy shores. Fleetwood is step father to Clare's two sons from her first marriage, Oscar and Murray, while they also share six-year-old Franklin.

Why did his son go viral?
Speaking of, Franklin, also known as Frankie, charmed the world at the Par 3 Contest in 2022. The event is a precursor to the illustrious Masters tournament and offers players a chance to revel in familial joy before the serious competition commences.
Then four, he stole hearts as he eagerly shouldered caddie duties for his dad, donned in an oversized bib and sprinting across each hole from tee box to green - all under the adoring watch of the gathered crowd.
