Body Found Floating In NJ River Police recovered a body from a New Jersey river early Thursday, Aug. 8, authorities said. Marine Service Troopers were dispatched to the Raritan River and South River in East Brunswick around 7:40 a.m., where they found a man's body floating in the water, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. NJ Reports Three West Nile Virus Cases The New Jersey Department of Health has confirmed the state’s first human cases of the West Nile Virus, much earlier than in prior seasons. Two residents, one more than 70 years old and the other under 18, tested positive for the illness transmitted by mosquitoes after reporting symptoms in the first week of July, the state's health department said. Micro Earthquake Recorded In NJ Town Along Ramapo Fault: USGS An earthquake was detected in Hunterdon County on the morning of Thursday, Aug. 8, according to the United States Geological Survey, though don't feel bad if you didn't feel anything.
