ESSIC/CISESS had a large presence at the AMS Annual Meeting, held in mid-January in Denver and virtually.

Professor Jim Kinter III (GMU) was a speaker at the Town Hall Progress Report on The Unified Forecast System Research to Operations (UFS R2O) Project. He and his fellow panelists talked about the collaborative and coordinated development of medium-range and sub-seasonal to seasonal predictions, the regional, high-resolution hourly-updating and convection-allowing ensemble system for prediction of short range severe weather and hurricane applications.
